Superintendent's Message

SST Banner

Hello SST parents!

Welcome to a new school year at SST. We are looking forward to opening our doors tomorrow and seeing our students' smiling faces in our hallways. This is what keeps us going at SST. We are grateful for all the staff and teachers who returned this year with smiles on their faces and a purpose in their hearts, especially as we are experiencing a nationwide shortage of quality educators.

This new year will bring us new opportunities to grow our students but also our teachers. That is why we are implementing shortened Wednesdays to allow for essential training that keeps our teachers at the top of their game and increases their capacity to better serve our students and families.

In addition to increasing our effectiveness in teaching, another goal is to increase our attendance. Attendance is vital in maintaining a child's education but, parents, we need your support to keep your child in school throughout the year. The pandemic really took a toll on all students' education across the nation and extra dedication is required to catch up and help our students achieve the success we all want for their futures.

Safety remains the top of priority and we have already begun implementing our new safety protocols. We are reviewing all of your input and suggestions after last week's message. We value your contributions.

Our parents are just as important to us as our students. We believe in transparency and open communication. If there's ever a compliment, question, or concern you would like to share with your campus administrators, we encourage you to visit Let’s Talk in the Contact Us buttons on our websites.

Additionally, I am looking forward to introducing our new Parent Perks of Facebook Groups for each of our schools. Stay tuned for details from ParentSquare.

Again, I look forward to what this new school year will bring. I am grateful to be a part of the SST family.
