Elementary Teacher – Math and Science (San Antonio, TX)
Job Duties:
The Elementary Teacher-Math and Science will teach Mathematics and Science to students at the elementary school level, will be responsible for providing students with appropriate learning
activities and experiences in the subject area assigned to help students fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth, will enable students to develop
competencies and skills to function successfully in society. Detailed job duties will also include: Prepare appropriate curriculum and annual plan to submit to the administration for
approval.
- Teach Math & Science subject courses to students; apply the curriculum as prepared and approved; keep attendance records; assign lessons; administer tests to evaluate students’
progress; and maintain discipline in the classroom.
- Create lesson plans, correct homework, and evaluate teacher-made tests. Prepare tests to evaluate students’ progress, record the results, and issue reports to inform
parents of progress.
- Contact parents to offer positive reinforcement regarding social and academic achievement the students make.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics or related field, and 1 year of experience as a teacher at elementary school level. Teaching experience must be full-time as a teacher of record (not substitute) at general education setting (not special population).
